Notice 2016 No 11
SECURITY WARNING IN RESPECT OF FALSE HOME AFFAIRS’ SURVEY
- All neighbourhood watches in the Kraaifontein area have received an urgent notice which is applicable to South African residents and quotes its source as being from an employee of the Department of Home Affairs.
- The notice reads:
“Be warned, there is a group going to homes and pretending to be officials from Home Affairs. They have documents with the letterhead Department of Home Affairs and claim to be confirming that everyone has a valid ID for upcoming elections. They are robbing homes. Take note there is no initiative like that from the government. Send this on your neighbourhood group chat. They are everywhere and they look presentable.” - Kindly take note of this warning. The Summerwood at Pinehurst security personnel have been informed of the matter and have been instructed to be aware of any person/s arriving at the entrance with such a premise, and that they under no circumstances are to be given access to the village.
