REPORT OF UNKNOWN MISCHIEVOUS INTRUDER IN SUMMERWOOD VILLAGE

Dear Member/Resident,

  1. The Village Manager received three reports of an unknown intruder having been in the Summerwood village during the past night or early morning (8th/9th).
  2. At this point in time (08h30) the reports have not been investigated, but the details available are as follows:
    1 Mr Gert Gouws of 18 Greenwood Way reported to the security personnel during the course of the early morning that he had observed someone in the confines of his property.
    2.2 Mr Simon Jenkins of 7 Plockton Close informed the security personnel on leaving the village that he had heard someone fidgeting with his kitchen door.
    2.3 Mrs Angela Thompson of 2 Greenwood Way has just informed the Village Manager per intercom telephone that someone had entered their home via the rear door which was left ajar during the night and had stolen her husband’s wallet. And other clothing items.
  3. In terms of the security infrastructure which is monitored by the Village Manager and security personnel on a full-time basis, no electric security fence and no motion detection beam alarms were triggered during the night.
  4. The Village Manager will inspect the Langeberg Road electric security fence and perimeter wall as a matter of urgency this morning to establish whether there are any signs of entry into the village. The service provider in respect of the electric security fence has been summoned to conduct an examination of the fence in order to determine that it is in absolute working order.
  5. Each of the incidents mentioned in paragraph 2 above will be investigated as soon as the residents can be interviewed. This will be done in order to provide you with accurate details of the intrusion into the Summerwood village.
