INCREASE OF MONTHLY LEVY : SUMMERWOOD AT PINEHURST HOME OWNERS’ ASSOCIATION
Dear Member,
- The Association’s Management Committee, when considering the proposed 2017/18 Budget at its meeting on 15 March 2017, was compelled to increase the monthly levy from R380.00 to R400.00 as from 1 July 2017 in order to balance the income against the expenditure.
- Under the circumstances the Committee is appealing to the Association’s Members to make timely arrangements in order to ensure that the correct levy payment is made as from the beginning of July 2017.
- The greater percentage of the increased expenditure in the new budget will be directed toward security of the Summerwood village. The Committee will be reporting fully to the Members at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting 2017 in respect of, amongst others, the security aspects which will be addressed in the budget for the new financial year which commences on 1 April 2017. However, already in the Association’s Notice 2017 No 22 which was dated 3 January 2017, the Committee’s Chairman advised Members of certain matters would be given consideration in the future, viz. the aspects governing the access to and exit from the village as well as the speedy response to incidents occurring in the village. These are viewed as being the most important of all.
- There is great concern regarding the close to 1 000 remotes which are currently in circulation. Resultantly more effective and efficient methods of controlling access and egress are to be implemented. These technologically advanced procedures will replace the system of remotes in use by residents and the current signing-in procedure to which visitors and contractors are subjected.
- In the interim your anticipated co-operation in timeously amending the payment of your monthly levies will be greatly appreciated.
